Next shoot saw 10, Which doesn’t have an official title yet, it’s coming to its final day of principal photography. News of the sequel’s wrap comes from longtime franchise writer Josh Stolberg who confirmed that filming wrapped today with a surprise giveaway on Twitter. The upcoming film may mark the tenth film in the long-running horror franchise, but it’s also Stollberg’s third as a screenwriter. Marking the end of filming, Stolberg revealed to fans that he was handing out a one-of-a-kind piece opinion Fans, a real circular saw autographed by series star Tobin Bell.
Taking to Twitter, Stolberg wrote: “LOOK AT WHAT I HAVE TO BETTER ON THE LAST DAY OF PRINCIPAL SHOOTING ON OUR NEW @Saw #movie!!!! AND SIGNATURE HAND-SIGNED @officialtobin. FREE!!!!!! JUST FOLLOW & RT THIS POST TO ENTER. #giveaway Fans were quick to retweet the message in hopes of picking up the award, many of whom are honestly excited just by the fact that Bale will be back on the series again with the new movie. As fans of the series may remember, Tobin Bell’s character, the infamous Jigsaw Killer, actually died in 2006’s Saw III, but continued to appear in the annual sequel due to flashbacks that built up his backstory to an excessive degree. Even Saw 3D, formerly Saw: The Final Chapter, saw Bale return to the side, repeating yet again for 2017’s Jigsaw. Bale didn’t appear in 2021. In addition to Bale reprising his role, another franchise element will likely be back in the mix with previously teased Shawnee Smith being about the return of Amanda Young. Confirmed cast members to appear in the film include Sinof Makody Lund (Ragnarok), Stephen Brand (The Sandman), Michael Beach (SWAT), Renata Vaca, Paulette Hernandi, Joshua Okamoto and Octavio Hinojosa. Director Kevin Greutert also returns to the series to direct the film, having previously directed it sixth saw And the Saw: The final chapter In addition to editing six other films in French.
“What an excitement to be reunited with Tobin,” producers Mark Burg and Orn Collis previously said in a statement about Bell’s return. “His performance as John Kramer is part of the magic that has made this franchise such a phenomenon and his character is an active part of this movie.”
Next saw 10 It is scheduled to be released on October 27, 2023.
