Gotham Knights star Misha Collins teases two-faced twists in her New Year’s message

While they missed a golden opportunity to show it off in 2022 (come on guys! A calendar year with triplets!), Misha Collins apparently confirmed over the weekend that he’ll be appearing as Two-Face in full make-up during the first season of the upcoming CW series. Gotham Knights. In a short video posted to social media on Saturday, Collins showed himself making a mold of his head — while wearing a facial prosthesis that wrapped his lips around his teeth as the deformed side of Two-Face does in the comics. This seems to contradict Collins’ previous comments, suggesting that the transformation will not happen in the first season of the show.

This would make Collins the third actor to wear Two-Face makeup in live action (although there have been additional versions of Harvey Dent, pre-transformation, on shows like Gotham And in 1989 Batman Movie). The character was previously played by Tommy Lee Jones in Batman foreverand Aaron Eckhart The Dark Knight.

“I can tell you that I play Harvey Dent, a character from the Batman universe, who becomes Two-Face,” Collins told fans at the SPN Indy Convention (via ScreenRant). “I had a little conscience about it because I knew my ex would be like, ‘Fit turn! ” [laughs] It actually occurred to me, I don’t want someone to suffer such an easy insult for the rest of my life! It appears that Warner Bros. She puts a lot into the pilot, it’s great, and she seems to have a great team behind it. For example, our costume designer did The Handmaid’s Tale, such really cool people on the project. If it’s picked up and made into a series – which would be really cool – my character will be Harvey Dent for all of year one, so I have a long period of not being Two-Face. And then I became two-faced! Yeah, I’m looking forward to it and I’ll be the old guy on the show! “

You can see him doing the prosthetic cast below.

Considering how long the series has been in production, and the short seasons of most CW shows, it’s possible that Two-Face’s makeup only appeared as a brief cameo in the season finale. Although a number of popular characters have been used in the series, fanfare has been very limited so far, with much of it centering on Collins as Harvey Dent. So it might make sense for him to play a bigger role for himself in the highly anticipated second season.

According to the official brief, V.I Gotham KnightsBatman is dead, and a powder keg has set Gotham City on fire without the Dark Knight protecting it. In the aftermath of Bruce Wayne’s murder, his adopted son Turner Hayes is framed for the murder of the Caped Crusader, along with the children of some of Batman’s enemies: Duela, an unpredictable fighter and skilled thief born in Arkham Asylum and abandoned by her father, Harper Row, a street engineer and acer who can fix any Thing, and her brother, Colin Rowe, an intelligent transgender teen who is tired of being polite and agreeable. With charismatic and hard-headed district attorney Harvey Dent and the GCPD in their tracks, Turner will rely on allies including his best friend and formidable programmer Stephanie Brown, and unlikely Batman sidekick Carrie Kelly. But our Knights will soon learn that there is a greater, more nefarious force at work within Gotham City. This team of mismatched runaways must band together to become the next generation of saviors known as the Knights of Gotham.

The series is expected to debut on The CW in the spring of 2023.
