The holiday season is over and that means restaurants and cafes are turning to their winter offerings — including Starbucks. On Tuesday, Starbucks launched its 2023 winter menu, announcing the return of the fan-favorite pistachio latte for the third year in a row as well as a new iced drink and the return of a beloved bakery item.
Pistachio Latte features flavors of sweet pistachio and rich brown butter topped with espresso and steamed milk. Again for the third year in a row, it’s available hot, iced, or as a Frappuccino blended drink. This year, it was joined by a pistachio cold drink with cream. This drink contains a Starbucks cold brew sweetened with vanilla syrup and topped with a cold foam of pistachio cream and salted brown butter sprinkles.
As for bakeries, Red Velvet Loaf is back. Red Velvet Love is a vanilla cake filled with classic red velvet cake and covered with white chocolate frosting. The Red Velvet Loaf plus Pistachio Cream Cold Brew and Pistachio Latte are now available at participating stores nationwide for a limited time while supplies last.
Starbucks’ new winter menu comes just a few weeks after Dunkin’ unveiled its new winter menu lineup. The Dunkin lineup included a new Brown Butter Toffee Latte along with the Dunkin Midnight, a deep, rich roast with notes of bittersweet chocolate and an extra-dark finish as well as several new and returning menu items as well.
