After, after Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania enters cinemas next month, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 It will be the next movie on Marvel Studios’ release slate. Although it’s still too early for any aggressive marketing, a few tales promoting the Cowell trio are beginning to emerge. Latest comes courtesy of USA Todaywhich unveiled a new look at James Gunn’s on-the-go 2023 movie release. In it, Nebula (Karen Gillan) can apparently be seen rocking a major upgrade.
In the photo, several guards can be seen huddling around the table in their fancy (and comically subtle) suits. Nebula, Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Mantis (Bom Klementieff) and Drax (Dave Bautista) chat around a table. Once they get a look at Nebula, fans of the series will notice that she has a brand new arm sticking out from under her suit. See the photo for yourself below.
Unfortunately Guardians Fans, not everyone in the picture will be returning for future movies. Dave Bautista confirmed he’s been done as Drax the Destroyed in a recent GQ story.
“I am so grateful to Drax. I love him,” Bautista told the magazine. “But there is relief [that it’s over]. It wasn’t all fun. It was difficult to play this role. The makeup process was hitting me. And I don’t know if I want Drax to be my legacy — it’s a silly performance, and I want to do more dramatic stuff. “
On the flip side, Gillan has continually hinted that she’ll be back to play Nebula however long Marvel allows her to.
“I love my character so much. I’m obsessed with her. Honestly, I’m infatuated,” the actor said last year. “I think she’s been very lucky. It’s like a gift that keeps on giving because she starts out as this villain, and I get to get the chance to show her point of view and her point of view on things. I think it was like six movies, and I think she’s just so cool. Her whole family dynamic, her upbringing , and her narcissistic, toxic family system. They’re all things I love to explore.”
