WWE’s Shinsuke Nakamura calls Muta’s Great Match a ‘dream’, reveals message from Triple H

In a move no one expected, it was announced earlier this year that WWE’s Shinsuke Nakamura will be facing wrestling legend The Great Muta as part of NOAH’s retirement tour. The match proved to be as entertaining as the fans had hoped, and Nakamura would be the victor. It was a historic match only because of who was involved in it, but it was also a rare moment where someone signed to WWE was able to compete in another company’s event. In an interview with Tokyo SportsNakamura was asked about the match, describing it as a dream, and even shared some encouraging words from Triple H.

“I think the best way to describe it is that it was really my first dream,” said Nakamura. “When I woke up this morning I was terrified and I thought, maybe this was really like a dream… from the moment I entered the ring to the moment I left.”

Nakamura also revealed that he received a message from Triple H.[WWE executive ‘The Game’] Triple H also gave me some words of appreciation. “Instead of beating, there is nothing but joy,” said Nakamura (translator).

As for what’s next for Nakamura, while the chapter has been closed on Muta, he will be taking this match and some of the Legend’s style with him from now on. “Sure, Keiji Muto and Grand Muta are in my blood as a wrestler,” Nakamura said. “I like to incorporate what I feel in my body into my own style.”

It remains to be seen when Nakamura will return to WWE television. He’s currently from SmackDown but we’ve seen a lot of crossover with Raw superstars lately, and he made a surprise appearance on NXT earlier this year, so you never know when or where he’ll show up next.
