My Hero Academia reveals the backlash of Izuku’s gear shifter

Prior to this final battle with Tomura Shigaraki and All For One, the second User of One For All teased that Ultimate Dodge should only be used when the time is right and Deku has no real options left. Well, now that he’s used it, we’re seeing why it’s so dangerous.

My hero academy Now setting up the final round of battles between All For One and the heroes, Deku struggles to make the next move due to the amount of power he has already used fighting against Shigaraki already. As he prepares for the next phase of the fight, he struggles to control the situation as it is revealed that using Gearshift has completely drained his body of oxygen as he struggles to breathe.

What’s wrong with Izuku’s Gearshift Quirk?

Chapter 377 of My hero academy It picks up shortly after Himiko Toga and Korogiri make their way to the floating UA High School battlefield. Interrupting Aizawa’s Erasure, this in turn unleashes all of the quirks within Shigaraki’s body. As the castle struggles to stay in the air, All For One continues to take over Shigaraki and directly challenges Deku again. But Deku himself can’t really think because he has yet to recover from using Gearshift.

Deku explains that when his cells don’t get a second to rest after using this property, his body can’t get enough oxygen. He’s struggling to breathe while the second user is trying to tell him to get back on his feet, and all the while everything falls into disarray. So Deku needs to find a way to recover from his strongest quirks yet before things get worse.
