Houston mayoral candidate Robin Williams, a Missouri city police officer, has been charged with assaulting her boyfriend with a baton and a taser.

Houston, Texas (KTRK) – A Missouri City police officer, who is also running for mayor of Houston, has been arrested for allegedly abusing her live-in boyfriend.

Robin Williams, 32, is accused of hitting her boyfriend on several occasions. In two incidents, she was accused of using a baton and a Taser issued by her department.

7 Harris County County Constables responded to a family disturbance call from a live-in friend of Williams on December 31, 2022 in the Brunswick Meadows subdivision on the south side of Houston.

The friend reportedly told deputies that Williams punched him in the mouth during a verbal argument. He said he was in pain and was bleeding from a cut on his lip.

According to court documents, this wasn’t the first time Williams assaulted her boyfriend. He reportedly told the police that they beat him several times with a baton, which was issued by the department on August 4, 2022.

The documents said that a video clip showed the woman screaming at the man and hitting him several times on his body and legs. The victim told the deputies that the assault caused a knot to form on his body where he was injured.

The victim also told deputies that his girlfriend used a Taser device that the department issued to him during another verbal altercation sometime in August 2022, according to court documents.

pct. Officials said that 7 deputies tried to contact Williams to hear her side of the story, but were unsuccessful after several attempts.

Eventually they reached out to her employer, the Missouri City Police Department, to see if they could help the deputies contact Williams. The Police Department notified deputies that Williams was away on medical leave due to a work-related injury.

According to a statement from Williams’ mayoral campaign, the officer dislocated her shoulder and sustained minor injuries to her hand, knee and elbow after diving out of the way of a speeding car while responding to an “ambush” on Dec. 31, the same. Today where the alleged assault.
