There is a new major update in the surrounding mystery Tiger King The first husband of the star Carol Baskin. Earlier this week, comments Baskin made during her television appearances in late 2021 seemed to indicate that her ex-husband, Don Lewis, may in fact be alive after all, having been missing since 1997. Netflix Tiger King docuseries, with Baskin’s competitor, Joe Exotic, hinting several times that she fed her husband to her big cats. But in 2021, Baskin Tell ITV’s This Morning that the Department of Homeland Security had contacted her to reveal Lewis’ whereabouts – and that he was living quietly in Costa Rica.
“They said my husband, Don Luis, is alive and well in Costa Rica,” Baskin told the outlet at the time. “However, all this drama was made about me having something to do with his disappearance, when Homeland Security knew his whereabouts.”
“I didn’t think he would be able to support himself,” Baskin added. “He took about a million dollars to Costa Rica, I agreed to let him do it until he proved to himself that he could make a living.”
According to Baskin, the first clue to the Department of Homeland Security investigation actually emerged Tiger King 2which is a follow-up to the series that premiered in late 2021.
“One of the really exciting things that came out of that Tiger King 2 is that they provided a letter from the Department of Homeland Security stating that a special agent in charge of the FBI in the Department of Homeland Security had contacted Sheriff George’s investigator [Jorge] Fernandez, which means this had to happen after 2002, because Homeland Security didn’t exist until 2002,” Baskin revealed.

Despite this positive development hidden within the sequel series, Baskin herself did not appear in the series Tiger King 2and even tried to sue Netflix to stop its release.
“My family would never have been involved, ever, if they’d known we’d be so betrayed,” Baskin previously told ComicBook.com. “But I feel like everything happens for good, and even though it was really hard to live through so much of that after… Tiger King Because people were so misinformed, they felt they had an absolute right to set things right because they thought I was this horrible person who should be brought to justice and that Joe should be released.”
