The new Witcher 3 update is now in the “final stages”, it should be released soon

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt It got next-gen updates to several platforms late last year to finally speed up the game on modern systems. Although these updates brought a lot of new features and improvements, it was not without its issues with some bugs that still need to be eliminated. Fortunately for those who’ve run into these kinds of issues, CD Projekt Red says it has an update in the works (for the PC platform at least) that should be released soon to address some of these issues.

Marcin Momot, Global Community Manager at CD Projekt Red, commented on a case The Witcher 3 This week’s updates in response to a Twitter user who asked if anything was planned for the PC version. The user said he wanted an update so he and the others could “play the game you guys announced,” to which Momot replied that an update was on the way and that it wouldn’t take long for it to be ready.

Momot said, “W3NG” in reference to The Witcher 3 Next generation. “It shouldn’t be long until it’s published. We’ll share more information the moment we can! In the meantime, we really appreciate your patience!”

Momot didn’t specify a platform, so folks who are on consoles might get the game update on their systems as well. The PC version has its own exclusive features and changes in the initial next-gen patch notes, even the term “next-gen” is really just a console term, so it’s likely to have its own unique fixes and issues to address as well.

As a timeline update for those who haven’t been following closely, The Witcher 3 The next generation update arrived on the PC platform on December 13th. A hotfix was released a few days later on December 19th with another released shortly after that on December 22nd. Given the holiday period, it’s understandable that a break will be taken there and that the next one would have taken a little longer to release, although players apparently won’t have to wait much longer.
