Smiling Friends co-creator reveals his reaction to season 1’s fan acclaim (EXCLUSIVE)

Speaking to ComicBook.com ahead of the YOLO: Silver Destiny premiere this weekend, Smiling friends Co-creator Michael Cusack spoke about how he felt about the response to the first season, and noted that it was “extremely satisfying” for him and co-creator Zack Hadel to see fans so inspired by everything that happened.

How does Michael Cusack feel about Smiling Friends Season 1?

“It was great,” Cusack began when talking about the response Smiling friends‘ The first season. “Seeing the fan art, I had a lot of fun with it. The fact that Zack had a vision from the beginning that we could make something so unique and get a bunch of our friends and Newgrounds people from the old days of online animation together and make something that hadn’t been seen on TV before, that was A vision we had very early on.”

Cusack continued, “Being able to go through that and actually make it happen and have the fans react in the way that they were so satisfying.
