Austin Butler Elvis dedicates ‘Bittersweet’ Oscar nomination to Lisa Marie | music | entertainment

Elvis Presley never won an Oscar, but now there are eight in his honor. Austin Butler has already earned a Golden Globe for his stunning performance as The King’s Daughter Lisa Marie Presley holding back tears as she continues. Tragically, the 54-year-old died suddenly just two days later. And now the star, who she thought finally really got her father and is set to win an Oscar, is dedicating his nomination to her memory.

Academy Awards Nomination: “I’m not much of a morning person, so I wake up with you now. What an exciting way to wake up. I’m still processing it now. It was a daunting task making this movie. And it was also a very long process, so I remember those nights I stayed up late.” No sleep and all the fear and all the possibility of how things could have gone wrong. Not just for me, but all of these other amazing artists who worked on the movie. To be recognized is just a really surreal and amazing feeling.”

Paz wrote on Instagram: “CM [Baz’s wife Catherine Martin] And I am so happy for all the wonderful collaborators who have brought ELVIS back on the premises. A huge collective thanks to the Academy for these nominations.”

Elvis is nominated for Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Film Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Costume Design, Best Production Design, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, and Best Sound. Meanwhile, Butler’s main competitor in the Best Actor Oscar category is The Whale’s Brendan Fraser.
