Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs (14-3) won a relatively close game that only got that far thanks to rushing Jaguars passer Arden Key. The Kansas City QB’s right ankle served as a touchdown pad for Key, a moment that left Mahomes visibly hurt — but still playing. While Chad Henne finished the inning, Mahomes came back in the latter half of the game, still managing to get the job done. His health for the penultimate week of play will likely determine who gets to the Super Bowl.
And as the mighty Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals (12-4) held out in a snowy Buffalo, beating the Bills 27-10, no one is looking to bet against Cincy. Burrow completed 23 of 36 passes in unfavorable conditions, with 242 yards and a pair of TDs. His team has not been defeated since Halloween.
The Philadelphia Eagles (14-3) tied with Jalen Hurts (14-3) for the best record during these playoffs and have been favorites for some time. And while their escape to the New York Giants 38-7 may have been more reminiscent of vegan cheesesteaks sent by New York Mayor Eric Adams, the big takeaway from that game is that Hurts’ injured shoulder looks like a heel. He threw for 154 yards passing 2TDs.
As for Brooke Purdy and the 49 Dads (13-4)? Well, the Kid is trying to redefine where a third-string quarterback can lead the team — provided he continues to get great play from the likes of TE George Kittle and RB Christian McCaffrey.
And while Birdie shielded himself from making mistakes at the end of the playoffs, Coach Kyle Shanahan got his flowers for taking care of the 23-year-old so far. Of course, San Francisco’s defense was key to getting this far, as they pulled two TO’s from Cowboys QB Dak Prescott in the divisional round.

Super Bowl 2023 halftime show
Everyone wants more music from Rihanna, who has spent the past several years building her empire as a fashion and skincare icon with the brands Fenty and Fenty Beauty. While she recently released the song “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, this is the only new song Rihanna has released in a while.
Her ninth studio album — which some are referring to as R9 — hasn’t been confirmed yet, but Rihanna will play the halftime show at Super Bowl 2023. And unlike last year’s tribute to West Coast hip-hop (which featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Eminem, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent, Anderson Buck), Rihanna has only one artist to back her up.
This would be CupcakKe, aka Elizabeth Eden Harris, the rapper who will likely test Censor’s ability to hit the mute button.
After rising to popularity in 2015, her mixtape debuted on Rolling Stone’s Best Rap Albums of 2016 list. CupcakKe has released several singles in recent years, but hasn’t released a full-length album since 2018’s Eden.
