Can we stop the mass shootings?

San Francisco — Mass shooting across the country in recent years, up from pre-epidemic numbers.

it was there :

  • 47 in 2022
  • 691 in 2021
  • 611 in 2020
  • 417 in 2019

The ABC7 data team has created an interactive map showing the 2023 mass shootings so far.

Data taken from Gun Violence Archivea research group that uses more than 7,500 law enforcement, media, government, and commercial sources to compile an updated list of mass shootings across the United States.

The organization defines a mass shooting as an incident in which four or more victims were shot or killed, not including the perpetrator.

See the map below for injuries and fatalities for each crash this year.
