Road rage: A suspect was arrested in a McDonald’s car after allegedly brandishing a gun at someone in northwest Houston

Houston, Texas (KTRK) – A man who authorities say has a criminal history of road rage has been arrested in a fast food van after he brandished a gun at someone in northwest Houston last week.

Hunter Christian Lowry, 32, was arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy 5 said that on the morning of January 20, a man reported a driver was waving at him and waving a gun in his direction.

The man who was being aggressively followed pulled into a car park, noticed the suspect passing him and headed to the McDonald’s car park at Eldridge Parkway and West Little York, deputies said.

When they arrived, authorities said, they found the suspect still waiting for orders in the driving lane.

When they stopped him, they allegedly found a loaded gun inside his car.

According to the records, Lowry had a previous charge of deadly conduct from 2018 when he allegedly threatened someone with a deadly weapon i.e. a car.

  • If you encounter an aggressive driver, do not respond.
  • Don’t respond to aggression with aggression.
  • Avoid offensive hand gestures.
  • Don’t hoot your horn or try to antagonize an angry driver by blocking his way.
  • If you are being chased or an angry driver points a gun at you, call 911 and provide a detailed description of the vehicle, its license plate, and the driver.
