Previously, game of thrones Creator George R.R. Martin talked about a Jon Snow spin-off in development in a new post on his blog. In the post, he revealed that he and Harington collaborated on the series as well as two other mystery/show writers. Martin wrote in the blog post that he can’t reveal who will be writing the series but Harrington’s team is awesome.
“Yes, it was Kit Harington who brought the idea to us,” the Game of Thrones creator revealed. “I can’t tell you the names of the book/show, as they haven’t been cleared for release yet, but Kate brought them in too, his own cast, and they’re great.”
In the final season of game of thronesHowever, Jon Snow learns of his true identity as Aegon Targaryan, the true heir to the Iron Throne. After killing his aunt/girlfriend, Daenarys, to keep her from power, Jon is forced to choose a life of exile in the Night’s Watch. Instead of staying with the Night’s Watch, Jon heads to the North of the Wall to live with the Wildlings and the dire wolf ghost. The series is said to focus on what happened after these events.
