Did DC Studios accidentally reveal a Plastic Man project?

James Gunn and Peter Safran cleared most of the confusion around their DC Studios plans by revealing their slate of new projects yesterday. Gunn and Safran announced a massive slate of projects that they called Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters, and that included the title of the next Superman and Batman movies. Superman: LegacyAnd Batman – Part Two And Brave and daring It was among the announced projects, but most of the slate is pretty vague. The co-CEOs of DC Studios will release an animated series based on Creature Commandos and a live-action movie based on The Authority. Gunn is known for making inappropriate characters more popular, so these ads come as no surprise. But it seems that during the presentation he could also reveal that they are working on a plastics project. ComicBook.com’s Brandon Davis got hold of the event, and Gunn discussed how they could use their most popular characters to boost their little-known characters like Booster Gold and even Plastic Man.

“Well, I mean, number one, it’s a very complicated issue. It’s not cut and dry. There’s a lot of technical stuff about slash that’s already getting into the public domain, that you may or may not know. So there’s that. But there’s also one reason why we We have Superman and that’s why we’re bringing power to the mainstream,” Gunn said. “I mean, who would have thought 11 years ago that the two most famous rides in the world would be the Guardians of the Galaxy ride. Two of the most famous rides in the world are based on a comic that 20,000 people know about. We have, we have Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, to support gold booster or Green Lanterns or Plastic Man or whatever important.”

Gunn and Safran both started their jobs as co-CEOs at DC Studios last year, and it’s safe to say DC’s future looks bright. When the duo was announced by the head of Warner Bros. New Discovery, they released a statement about their excitement for the job.

“We are honored to be the stewards of the DC characters we have come to love since we were kids,” John and Safran added in a joint statement. “We look forward to collaborating with the world’s most talented writers, directors, and actors to create an integrated, multi-layered universe that still allows for individual expression by the artists involved. Our commitment to Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Harley Quinn, and the rest of the established DC characters is only equaled by our commitment to the wonders of human possibility that these characters represent. We’re excited to revitalize the theatrical experience around the world as we tell some of the biggest, most beautiful, most amazing stories ever.”

It will be the next DC Studios movie to hit theaters Shazam! Wrath of the Gods. Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line describe the film as follows: “With the powers of the gods, Billy Batson and his fellow foster children are still learning how to juggle teenage lives with the existence of adult superhero characters.
