MCU 2023 movies: Ant-Man premiere in LA brings action and Evangeline Lilly flies in for some red carpet fun

Westwood, Los Angeles – Some favorite characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe are back in the superhero spotlight.

get ready! On February 17, Ant-Man returns to the big screen.

Paul Rudd reprises his role as Scott Lang (Ant-Man, of course) with Evangeline Lilly as The Wasp.

At the film’s premiere in Westwood, LA, Lilly reflected on the fact that although it didn’t haunt her, stardom found her and never left her.

“You’re right, I really didn’t,” she said, laughing. “The fact that I’m here tonight that I’ve been invited to this party is ridiculous.”

“Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” promises action, heart, and visual effects that move lovers like they’ve never seen before.

Lily also promises a lot of surprises from her co-stars.

“I think you’re going to see a lot of Michelle Pfeiffer, which you haven’t seen before, which is really fun,” she said. “You’ll see Kang the Conqueror, who you’ve never seen before and Jonathan Majors ‘my boss’ in this role. I think there are a lot of really beautiful relationship moments in this story, and I think as this is a family story, the stakes really go up.”

Lily reflected on what being a part of the MCU meant for her career and how she spends her “real life”.

“The truth is, when I shot to fame on ‘Lost’ and became an international phenomenon, it prepared me for everything,” she said. “I still wasn’t impressed with the fan reaction any more than I was on ‘Lost’ so this is all my comfort zone. These are my people! Comic-Con fans…this is my clan.”

Director Peyton Reed leads the cast again in the third installment of the trilogy.

“We should do an ‘Ant-man’ trilogy, a trilogy, we’re thrilled,” Reed said. “We wanted to go in a few different directions, and we went really big. It’s epic, but it’s also small because it’s in the Quantum Realm, and we loved the idea of being able to develop the character of Scott Lang. His daughter is now 18, not a little girl anymore. That’s a big part of it.” Our story, the relationship between father and daughter.

Rudd spoke about the on-screen relationship with his daughter, who is now also a young woman.

“We lost so much time together. There’s this bit of wanting to be parents, but then there’s the part where Scott has to wear a suit!”

“It’s about work-life balance,” Reed said.

Rod laughed, “That’s a good way to put it. He’s constantly struggling with work-life balance.”

“Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” is in theaters Friday, February 17th.
