This week NXT saw what remained of Toxic Attraction as Jacy Jayne mercilessly attacked Gigi Dolin after a talk show segment on Bayley’s “Ding Dong! Hello!” Displays. The exclamation mark came as Hein Gulen slammed into the door frame in the middle of the show set, then stomped on her face. Dolin was badly bruised after the attack and shared it on social media.
While Toxic Attraction has effectively run the NXT women’s division since the beginning of the 2.0 era, the cracks began to show after Mandy Rose lost the NXT Women’s Championship and was abruptly released by WWE back in December. Dolin and Jayne then attempted to target the new champion, Roxanne Perez, only to get both punched NXT Vengeance Day the previous weekend. As for Rose, she continued to share her side of the story following her release this week sessions With Rene Bucket.

“I went into work like a normal TV Tuesday. I was told the title match that was supposed to happen in the future, on Vengeance Day was when it was supposed to happen, but that was up in the air. It was the only news that got me further than The future. It said we’d actually play the game tonight. It was about two o’clock or so when I was told,” Rose said (h/t WrestlingNews.co) while describing her last day in NXT before dropping the title to Perez.

It came from Shawn Michaels himself, so obviously I knew it was coming from a creative head in that sense, so I knew I didn’t have to go and try to look for other answers even though I wanted other answers. But in those At the moment, I had to do my job, plan our match and everything we had to do that night.” “It was weird. In that moment, I felt like I was focused. I always loved working with Roxanne. We had such a good relationship. It went so smoothly the rest of the day. But in my mind, I obviously didn’t sell it. I didn’t offer it. I was like, ‘This So rotten, like, What’s going on? I had multiple people coming up to me like, What’s going on?”
