Sarah Hartsfield: Chambers County woman’s first ex-husband reveals pattern that led to 4 more marriages, fiancé dies

Chambers County, Texas (KTRK) – While Sarah Hartsfield remains behind bars on $5 million bail, prosecutors reveal the mysterious past and disturbing pattern of the Chambers County woman, who is accused of causing her husband’s death.

The documents revealed that Joseph Hartsfield, who died last month, was from Sarah’s fifth marriage. Not to mention many other preachers, one of whom died in a shooting that investigators thought was self-defense.

A Sarah Hartsfield survivor appears and only speaks to ABC13 in the aftermath of his ex-lover’s arrest.

When Sarah’s snapshot appeared on his computer screen this week, Titus Nornschild was both shocked and relieved.

“I’m glad she was finally arrested for who she was,” Knoernschild told Eyewitness News via a Zoom call from his home in North Texas. “I’m just sorry someone else had to die to catch her.”
