Ghostface Is Scary (Fast) in New Still. Ghost Face is scary (quick) in the new still images

Ghostface is about to rip through the Big Apple. for the first time in the franchise, Sixth scream You move to New York City and push the franchise into a sprawling urban setting. The vast majority of the property took place in the fictional Woodsboro, and now their act will be cut in a much busier area. Since we are not dealing with supernatural forces in Scream franchise, and that means the killer has to deal with his feet, rather than flying or riding in a hovering car.

The last of the images shows the killer running on foot towards an off-screen target. With some scaffolding, it’s unclear where exactly the scene takes place – either way, it looks like Ghostface will have the opportunity to show moviegoers just how fast black shoes can run.

In an interview earlier this year, New Scream Star Melissa Barrera said she believes moving to New York ultimately made the franchise scarier given the scope of the city.

“It’s, like, 20 times more deadly. It’s horrific,” Barrera shared collider Venture to a new location for the franchise. “Because you also see how, in a city like New York City, everybody’s doing their own thing and someone’s screaming for help, and nobody’s coming to help them. Nobody’s coming to help them, you know, like, everybody’s like, ‘I’m not getting into that.'” It hurts, being chased away by Ghostface, but you also get to see humanity and how that reacts in a situation like this. Anyway, I think I’ve said a lot already.”

Returning to the franchise alongside Barrera includes Jenna Ortega, Hayden Panettiere, Courteney Cox, Mason Gooding, and Jasmin Savoy Brown. Newcomers include Samara Weaving, Josh Segarra, Dermot Mulroney, Tony Revolori, and more.
