DC is teasing about the return of one of its most popular anthologies. spoilers for Planet Lazarus: Dark Fate #1 below! Just see if you want to know! Dark Fate’s second-to-last story, “8 Seconds of Still Force,” introduces a new non-binary superhero circuit breaker and their status quo while connected to the Constant Force. The story ends by confirming that the Circuit Breaker story isn’t over yet, and that it will indeed be followed up within DC Pride 2023.
This is the first confirmation of this DC Pride, which highlights the publisher’s array of LGBTQ+ characters and creators, is back for another year. While fans can safely assume that given the success of the previous 2021 and 2022 installments, it’s still a welcome confirmation.
Who is a DC circuit breaker?
Also known as Jules Jourdain, the Circuit Breaker is a transient hero who uses the pronouns he/they, and who is “blessed (or cursed?) with the fearsome static force”, the cosmic force seen as the polar opposite of the Speed Force used by DC speedsters.
