This year’s NBA All-Star Game live broadcast is built differently. And by that we mean we don’t know the difference yet.
2023 NBA All-Star Channel game start time
The NBA All-Star Game begins live at 8:30 PM ET / 5:30 PM PT on Sunday (February 19).
But you’ll probably want to watch the live All-Star Draft, which starts an hour earlier, at 7:30 PM EST / 4:30 PM PT.
Both will air on TNT nationwide, and are available at sling tv (Opens in a new tab).
What we do know is that the teams will be drafted by captains LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo right before the start of the game. This is one way to make sure that this live NBA broadcast will have the lowest possible stickiness.
The player pool includes eight starters in addition to the captains: Stephen Curry, Luka Doncic, Kevin Durant, the ever-controversial Kyrie Irving (who is listed as a Nets player in the official graphic, hilariously enough), Nikola Jokic, Duvovan Mitchell, Jason Tatum and Zion Williamson.
This live draft should be interesting, and if the game becomes a hit, it looks like we have a new tradition on our hands.
Durant was an early favorite for captaincy in fan voting, but fell behind the Greek fancy. As for who will win? Well, as long as King James was a leader, his teams never lost.
In terms of NBA All-Star Game odds, Team LeBron is currently a 3-point favorite to win. The money streak has Team LeBron at -150 (bet $150 to win $100) and Team Giannis at +130 (bet $100 to win $130).

If you’ve already cut the cord and don’t have a cable package, you’ll be able to get this game on Sling TV. While we like FuboTV for its many sports (it’s one of our picks for the best streaming services), it doesn’t have TNT.
TNT is included in the file $40 per month for Sling Orange (Opens in a new tab)which also contains ESPN. Hulu along with Live TV and YouTube TV also gets TNT.
But when it comes to the best cable TV alternatives, we go with Sling here even though it doesn’t have ABC (although you can get it with one of the best TV antennas), as the ABC basketball games will be on ESPN3.
