Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is finally in cinemas, and Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has begun. And while fans will no doubt be fascinated by the stunning vistas of the quantum realm, they may have missed a key reference during the tail end of the picture.
After Cassie Lang agitates the efforts of the freedom fighters, the warriors—led by mind-reader Quaz—make their way to Kang’s castle.
While on the way, they come across a bridge that requires a token to advance. Quaz made short work of getting the information from a vigilante, but the numbers themselves secretly pointed to some classic information about Ant-Man.
Quaz discovered that the code for the bridge was 18147. Marvel Comics might recall that Avengers #181 was Scott Lang’s first comic book appearance. This issue was issued in March 1979.
What’s more, the comic Marvel Premiere #47 marked Scott’s debut as the new and improved Ant-Man. This particular comic book was released a month later, in April 1979.
Rudd described the American actor as “terrifying” and “very intense,” but lamented having to stand by him in wider shots.
“I tried to bulk up and get back in shape,” said the 53-year-old. “But it was pointless compared to Jon, and why would you do that when Ant-Man never takes his shirt off?”
Rod’s frustration follows his being named the Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine.
He also spoke candidly about the work he’s done on his third solo Marvel movie.
Rod said Men’s health He “worked hard” to look for the role. He added that it was “much more difficult” to get in shape this time around.
“I fell more often than I had in the past,” he admitted. “Suddenly my clothes became tight. And I thought, ‘Oh my God, this sucks.'” I can’t even wear these pants. “
He added, “So I’d say to myself, ‘Okay, maybe I’ll have some of these cookies. ‘ I was nervous and shy. I wasn’t in a good mood. I really beat myself up.”
