An abandoned dog is reunited with his owner who left a heartbreaking message

Chattanooga, Tenn. An animal shelter in Tennessee shared a heartbreaking note and reunited an abandoned dog with her family.

McKamey Animal Center in Chattanooga to publish on Facebook that the dog was found walking around with a note on her collar in January.

It reads, “My name is Lilo. Please love me. My mom can’t keep me and she’s homeless with two kids. She did her best but couldn’t get help. It cost me so much. She really loves me. I’m a great dog and I love being loved. Please don’t.” offend me.”

The shelter said Lilo, who was found walking around with her collar and leash on, is now reunited with her owner.

The shelter also noted that it has connections to “resources and agencies willing and willing to assist individuals and families experiencing homelessness.”
