Cities across the country experience eerie visits from one of the most famous villains in cinema history. Sixth scream It hits theaters this month, and Paramount is using some creepy viral marketing to get the word out. This week, Ghostface was spotted on live cams in several different cities across the country, roaming the streets and posing on corners. While there has been some concern about these cases not being part of a marketing scheme, they are, in fact, linked Sixth screamReleased March 10th.

This is the second time in recent memory that Paramount has used this type of tactic to announce an upcoming horror movie. former to smilingLast fall, people with creepy grins on their faces were planted behind home plate at baseball games, where the camera was sure to see them.
A different ghost face in Scream VI
The New York City setting wouldn’t be the only difference it would come to Scream concession with Sixth scream. Ghostface appears in this film wearing a defeated and broken mask, indicating a possible connection to a former killer. Ghostface is also shown in the trailers using a shotgun on a victim in a convenience store, a moment that caused some controversy among fans.
He recently spoke with directors Matt Bettinelli Olbin and Tyler Gillett SFX Magazine about what characterizes Ghostface, and defended the use of guns in the film.
“We don’t want it to be safe. We don’t want it to be boring. We want it to be fun and surprising,” Bettinelli Ulpin revealed. When we heard “Ghostface in New York with a gun,” he was like: “What?! Feelings of “What are we doing?” and “We have to do this!” are often intrinsically linked and that was a great example of that.
Gillette added, “There are a lot of fun, groovy, and classic moments in Ghostface, but it’s not a drop-dead Ghostface character.” We love it, but for this to be scary and to achieve a level of deep tension, we wanted to put the character more in the real world. If Ghostface is trying to break through a door, it will! There’s no giving even when he’s in the chase. The chase doesn’t end until he achieves his goal. “.
