Glenn Close will not present at 95th Academy Awards Ceremony After testing positive for COVID-19, CBS News confirmed.

The veteran entertainer, 75, was set to join a chorus of celebrities announcing the awards at Sunday night’s ceremony. Among the dignitaries who will be presenting awards at the Academy Awards are Riz Ahmed, Samuel L. Jackson, Dwayne Johnson, Michael BAnd Troy Cutsor, Melissa McCarthy, Janelle Monae, and more. Also starring in the show is Harrison Ford, who starred opposite Close in the 1997 thriller Air Force One, which in turn earned him Academy Award nominations for sound and film editing.

Close’s publicist, Catherine Ullim, confirmed that the actor has contracted COVID-19 and will no longer be able to attend Sunday’s Academy Awards.

“She was very much looking forward to participating in the show,” Olim said in a statement. The publicist has not shared details about the extent of Close’s symptoms. The Academy has not commented on the news of her illness, and the voting body did not provide information on who will replace her on Sunday night.
