Los Angeles — Now that the Academy Awards are over, Hollywood’s glitz and glamor continues.
Dozens of winners and other celebs headed out to various after parties around LA to celebrate the end of the long award season, often forgoing their red carpet outfits for new party-ready looks.
Here’s what you need to know about the 2023 Oscars:
Vanity Fair party
This year’s Vanity Fair party, hosted by Editor-in-Chief Radhika Jones, is back at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills.

“For me, it’s because they have an in-and-out burger,” said Rebel Wilson. “And I love In-N-Out Burger — it’s totally L.A., it’s totally Hollywood.”

“It’s the kind of party where you catch Sharon Stone giving Leonardo DiCaprio bunny ears, Meryl Streep taking a picture with Kate Winslet’s Oscar, Kanye West congratulating Brad Pitt on winning an Oscar, or Mindy Kaling and BJ Novak getting together in the photo booth,” According to Vanity Fair.
Listeners were invited to stand in front of photographer Mark Seliger’s custom-designed photo studio inside the after-party, which John Leguizamo described as “the best party in Hollywood”.
“And then I’m going to Madonna’s concert,” Leguizamo said. It was named “The Party” for a reason.
Referees ball
Immediately after the broadcast of the Oscars, the “Governors Ball” party took place in the Ray Dolby Hall on the highest level of Hollywood. & Hyland.
The enchanting party featured a variety of dishes by Wolfgang Puck Catering and Ghetto Gastro, as well as liqueurs created by world-famous mixologist Charles Jolly.
Among those in attendance was Daniel Dae Kim, who shared his reaction to the shocking encounter between Will Smith and Chris Rock.
“That was an amazing moment,” Kim said. “It was something I will remember for a while.”
Many of those who witnessed the accident initially thought it was a joke.
“I did too, because I had never seen anything like this on TV,” Kim said. “But that’s live TV, I think.”
Mercedes-Benz party
The luxury automaker hosted a viewing party for the stars and insiders of the Four Seasons Los Angeles in Beverly Hills, according to the company. Hollywood Reporter.
Elton John’s Oscar party
Lady Gaga, Billy Porter and Will And Eric McCormack, star of “& Grace,” joined Elton John to co-host the star’s charity Oscar Hour at West Hollywood Park.
This was the 30th year that the singer hosted a watch party to raise money for the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
John joined via live satellite from his concert in Lincoln, Nebraska, as he was planning his tour around the original Oscars date of Feb. 27.
