Diablo 4 divided players over the “shameful” part of the game

the Diablo 4 The open beta is currently live and will be available until March 27th. And it doesn’t matter if you’re on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, or Xbox Series X, you can access the beta, which means a lot of people are playing it right now and they’ll be playing it all weekend. However, this is the second beta of the game, and Blizzard has already gotten substantial feedback on the game. And now it appears that one of the biggest points of contention among fans is the game’s dungeons. Some players think they can’t snuff, while others love them.

One of the hottest posts on Diablo 4 This week’s Reddit page titled “Blizzard, listen: these dungeons are shameful. The post got over 1,500 votes, however the top response is one that varies. The most popular criticism at the moment seems to be aimed at the repetitive nature of the game’s dungeons.

“The combat and art are great, so this game has the potential to be great. However, out of the nine or so dungeons I’ve completed – I’ve seen the exact same design in three of them,” reads the Reddit post. Brand new dungeons, exactly the same linear path inside.. This is a huge disappointment. The classics were reimbursable due to random distribution. I’ve replayed a few dungeons more than once, and I’m sure the dungeons didn’t differ at all between plays. this is the way Diablo 3 It was sucked. The dungeons weren’t fun or exciting to explore because there was no sense of..a good exploration or discovery. It was the same every time, mostly on a straight line, and it got old. Diablo 2 It has cracks and maps are still tracking people 20 years later because of their complexity and randomness.”

As noted, a lot Diablo Fans seem to agree, as evidenced by the post’s popularity, however the first response is in disagreement, noting that while Dungeons has some shortcomings, its atmosphere is incredible.

“And then there’s me, who thoroughly enjoyed running dungeons,” the response reads. “Sure, some didn’t have the most slick design or mechanics, but the overall atmosphere of the dungeons was really good.”

The nice part about it being experimental is that Blizzard can and will modify dungeons before a game’s final release. However, it looks like it’s going to be in trouble, with some games loving dungeons and others seeming ready to quit playing because of them. Trying to find a middle ground between these two extremes seems impossible. That said, and as always, feel free to think about it in the comments section.
