And yes, for those who don’t have an annual habit of watching WrestleMania online, the two-day event that WWE is putting on this year is actually the new normal. The company is simply too big for just one night.
The biggest match of WrestleMania, which will likely head up Sunday’s card, sees WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns defend both of his titles against “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes. While Rhodes seemed destined for this match since his return to WWE at WrestleMania 38, he suffered a major setback when he completely tore his right pectoral muscle and required time off for surgery and recovery. Reigns is in the middle of a string of epic titles, at over 936 days.
Also, Cody’s rise to the main event came at a critical moment, as Sami Zayn was the hottest thing on WWE television during most of Rhodes’ vacation. Zayn fell to Reigns at Elimination Chamber 2023, and is now in feud with other members of Reigns’ Bloodline faction: The Usos (Jimmy and Jey). Zayn and longtime archenemy Kevin Owens are challenging The Usos for the WWE Tag Team Championship, as they try to break through Reigns’ hold on Jimmy and J.
Elsewhere on the card, father and son are fighting when a young Dominic is abusive enough to get his legendary father Rey Mysterio (who is being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on Friday night) to agree to a match at Mania.
For the women’s singles titles, Rhea Ripley and Asuka challenged, respectively, Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair. There is no complete storyline in either match, except for Ripley’s desire for revenge for her loss to Flair at WrestleMania 36.

While Peacock is available throughout the United States and the WWE Network remains the standard worldwide (although that is changing), the WrestleMania live stream can get a little confusing. You may want to check a VPN if you can’t see the service you normally use.
The international audience will be very jealous of the American audience, who will save up to 50% by switching to Peacock (unless you get the no-ads tier at $9.99 per month).
The best VPN is ExpressVPN (Opens in a new tab). It meets the VPN needs of the vast majority of users, offering great compatibility with most devices and great connection speeds.
Broadcasting WrestleMania 39 live in the United States is cheaper
The only place to watch a live stream of WrestleMania in the United States is peacock (Opens in a new tab). Peacock is now available on most of the top streaming devices.
There is no need to pay for the ad-free tier for WWE live events, as there are always ads on live versions of Peacock’s programming.
