Three children and three adults were killed in the aftermath of a Heavy gunfire at Covenant School in Nashville’s Green Hills neighborhood Monday morning, officials said.

shooter, who was shot dead by the police selected As 28-year-old Audrey Hill from Nashville said. Authorities released body camera shots Tuesday police officers respond to gunfire and take down the attacker.

Officials said the shooter was armed with “at least” two assault rifles pistol. The shooter was Seven weapons were purchased legally of local gun stores, Nashville City Police Department Chief John Drake said Tuesday. Three of the weapons were used in the Covenant school shooting, according to Drake.

Police said their initial investigation indicated the shooter was at one point a student at a private Christian elementary school, Drake said earlier. He did not know exactly when the shooter showed up.

“What the investigators have said so far is that there is likely to be some resentment at having to go to that school.” The police chief said Tuesday on “CBS Morning.”

Drake said the shooting was a targeted attack and that police had found a “manifesto”.

“We have a manifesto, we have a pamphlet, showing exactly what I planned to do,” Drake said. “We have maps showing the point of entry into the school, the weapons that were going to be used, the clothes that were going to be worn, and I drew them, almost like a cartoon character. That was exactly what she was wearing during this incident.”

He said the police found detailed maps drawn of the school that included the surveillanceAnd as well as a “drawing” of how the potential shooter would enter and the assaults that would occur.” Drake said among the items found were “several different graffiti from other sites” as well as the school.

“There is a great deal to write to him,” Drake told reporters on Tuesday. “I haven’t read the entire statement. Our team and the FBI are working on this.”

The police also explained that while they believed the school itself was the target of the attack, the individual victims were not.

“We feel that these students who were targeted were targeted indiscriminately,” Drake said.

“We have no evidence that individuals were specifically targeted,” added Don Aaron, a spokesman for the National Movement for Democracy and Justice. “This school, this church building was the target of the shooter, but we have no information at this time to indicate that the shooter was specifically targeting any of the six individuals who were killed.”

Aaron said the shooter entered Covenant School through a side door and traversed the building, moved from the first floor to the second floor and “fired several shots.”

Aaron said officers saw the shooter shoot on the second level, and at that point, they “engaged” her. He said the shooter was shot and killed by two of the five police officers who responded at the scene.

Drake said the shooter may have had other targets, including a local mall.

“We strongly believe there will be other targets, including possibly family members, and one of the malls here in Nashville,” Drake said. “This did not happen.”

A search of the shooter’s home turned up two additional weapons, Drake said, “and I think some of the other mapping may relate to maybe some people thinking about some other incidents.”

Drake said on Tuesday that the shooter’s parents were under the impression that the shooter had previously owned and sold only one gun, and none. Drake added that the police learned that the shooter “was hiding several weapons inside the house.”

The police chief said the shooter “was under a doctor’s care due to a mental disorder.” A possible motive for the shooting remained under investigation as of Tuesday.
