PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers are counting down to the release of brand new games in April 2023. The release date for the next batch of free PS4 and PS5 games is April 4 for PlayStation Plus members in each category. The PS Plus Collection – which includes the PS5 launch title Sackboy A Big Adventure – will be available to download and play from around 10am UK time. Needless to say, this is your final warning to add the current batch of PS Plus freebies to your library. This includes Battlefield 2042, Minecraft Dungeons, and Code Vein, which leave service on the morning of April 4th.
For the April 2023 lineup of PlayStation Plus games, arguably the flagship release is Meet Your Maker.
An all-new Launch Day title challenges players to build their own outposts, which can be filled with traps and sneaky enemies.
Once you’ve built your outpost, you can share it online for other players to try and beat it. Using data from successful players, you can modify your outposts to make them more challenging.
If you don’t feel like building, you can simply visit other outposts and try to make them live.
Joining Meet Your Maker is the excellent game Sackboy A Big Adventure, which is playable on PS4 and PS5.
The PlayStation 5 launch title allows players to form a team to complete stages filled with various unlockable items.
The official description reads “Popular PlayStation hero Sackboy once again launches into breathtaking action with a massive, fun and frantic 3D multiplayer adventure”.
