Coronation of King Charles III Adds Bette Midler to Lineup | music | entertainment

The coronation of King Charles III takes place in a few weeks on May 6, 2023, and the next day, May 7, a huge “special coronation ceremony” is held to mark the occasion. The lineup for the live music show is full of amazing stars, and the latest update claims that legendary Hollywood singer and actress Bette Midler will be performing some of her biggest hits for the royal celebration.

the sun Reports said Midler would be joining the line-up, which currently includes the likes of Sir Elton John, former One Direction star Harry Styles, and Adele.

A source told the newspaper, “To land a Hollywood star as Pitt is a real coup and she’ll add real old-school glamor to the lineup. Pitt is thrilled to be involved, and thinks it’s an honor.” (sic)

The source continued, “The organizers are doing their best to give people a real spectacle, and there will be something for everyone.”

The royals have reportedly had difficulty getting a number of key names to sign up for King Charles’ coronation, which is taking place at Windsor Castle on Sunday.

“Although booking wasn’t easy, due to busy schedules and the last-minute nature of the party, bosses are quietly confident a very special event is coming up,” the source went on. (sic)

It appears that the American star, who is 77, will travel to the UK, especially for the live coronation ceremony.

The ceremony will take place in front of an estimated 10,000 people, plus King and Camilla, Queen Consort.

The East Lawn Fiddlers at Windsor Castle will also be accompanied by a 74-piece orchestra, made up of the Collegiate Bands of the Household Department and the Countess of Wessex String Orchestra.

This isn’t the first time Midler has performed in front of the royal family during her career.

The Disney star has performed at the Royal Variety Performance twice during her tenure. The first time was in 2009, with her return five years later in 2014.

Midler met Queen Elizabeth II after the performance and later spoke about the surreal experience of meeting the British monarch.

She said, “As a child I used to go to the public library. I remember looking through the magazine and seeing a picture of a pretty little girl kneeling and getting a crown. These black and white pictures made a big impression on me, from which I never recovered.”

Midler added that she was “nervous” even though she had “a crush on her for years”.

The coronation ceremony on Saturday, May 6, will be attended by guests “chosen” by King Charles and Camilla.

It is said that these are the people who helped their local communities. Plus 400 young people from major groups such as The Scouts, Girl Guides and St John’s Ambulance.

Another 1,150 people were also invited to the party, according to it BBC.
