Elvis Banned Fish from Graceland – The King Family Because of His Dislike of Seafood | music | entertainment

Elvis Presley was known for some very strange eating habits from peanut butter and banana sandwiches to chewing the same food over and over again. On a virtual tour of Graceland, Elvis expert Angie Marchese once shared: “[The King] He grew up on good food from the south. He loved meatloaf, mashed potatoes, fried chicken… Mac and cheese. Anything he grew up with was one of his favourites.

In fact, his ex-wife Priscilla Presley remembers him eating meatloaf and mashed potatoes every day for six months. However, Graceland’s archivist admitted: “Anything but fish. He didn’t like the smell of fish being cooked in the house. There wasn’t any fish in the house.”

Elvis’ cousin Danny recently said on his Memphis Mafia Kid YouTube channel: “I think it was very much the smell. He didn’t care for the smell of seafood. He didn’t like the strong smell of onions and garlic. There was just something about that stuff that he didn’t care for… He turned his stomach or made it [feel] Kind of sick like a lot of us.” Meanwhile, his father Billy, who grew up with King and knew him before he was famous, recalls that the star also hates hunting.

In an earlier video, Billy said, “I couldn’t get Elvis to go fishing. He just wouldn’t do it. I can only remember him going fishing twice really and that was for a little while. Most of the time he’d just sit and walk up and down. He wouldn’t fish.” .”

Other Elvis favorite foods include bacon and mustard sandwiches, baked peas, hamburger steak, fried peanut butter, and a Crystal hamburger. Angie also shared that the King’s favorite dessert has to be my mom’s chocolate cake.
