The Champions stars talk about working with Woody Harrelson in an exclusive BTS clip

One of the first major comedies to hit theaters this year is now making its way into your living room. Champions, starring Woody Harrelson, tells the story of a basketball coach who is ordered to manage a team of players with intellectual disabilities. After a theatrical run, the film is now available on Peacock and a “Collector’s Edition” available to purchase digitally on video-on-demand platforms. the Champions The Collector’s Edition will make its way to Blu-ray and DVD on May 2nd.

To celebrate the release of the house from ChampionsComicBook.com and Universal Pictures Home Entertainment give you an exclusive peek at one of the bonus features included in the Collector’s Edition. The theme is called “Woody and the Team – Work with Woody” which see Champions Co-stars Kaitlin Olson and Casey Metcalfe talk about Harrelson’s leadership on and off camera. You can watch the exclusive clip in the video above!

“I’m not often offered roles where I’m funny but also have real emotion,” Olson says in the video. “And I was really excited that I would be able to have those scenes with Woody. When it’s not in this shot, when the cameras are right there with me, he’s still with me, which gives me all the emotions I need to see in his eyes for him to be able to respond to.”

“I was blown away by his attitude towards us. He came to Madison Tevelin’s birthday party and we had the best of times. He would dance with us there, which was so sweet,” says Metcalf. “They don’t have to, they don’t really have to, but everyone in this world and in this community just wants to be included, and Woody Harrelson is the most inclusive guy I’ve ever met.”
