“We plan to do everything we can to keep our citizens safe this summer.”
Mayor Sylvester Turner said. “It takes a huge team effort from many departments of the City of Houston focused on one thing – keeping everyone out of harm’s way. With summer swimming season also underway, we want Houstonians to know we are looking to be safe.” and luxury. “

As the summer months begin and more lifeguards are needed, the three phases of opening pools in Houston will be to help with a fair distribution of the workforce, according to the Houston Department of Parks and Recreation.
“While we still need more lifeguards, we will open swimming pools in every city council area, and as more lifeguards join the boat and obtain their certification this summer, we will open additional swimming pools. Our first goal remains unchanged. This makes this summer as safe as possible for everyone who visits our pools,” said Kenneth Allen, Houston Parks Director & Recreation Department, he said.
Here are the phases and dates when area pools will open starting Memorial Day weekend. All pools will be closed on Memorial Day, May 29.
