May 20, 2023 was National Streaming Day — an unofficial holiday that Roku conjured up in 2014 to celebrate the technology that allows us to stream movies, music, and more anywhere. Of course, every day is National Broadcast Day these days, but an annual event like this is the perfect opportunity to offer a bargain. However, Hulu offers its ad-supported plan for $2 per month for 3 months.
Note that new Hulu subscribers and returning subscribers who have not subscribed to Hulu in the past month are eligible for 3 months of ad-supported Hulu plan for $2 per month. After this period ends, the price will increase to $7.99 per month. Just be sure to cancel before the discount period ends if you choose not to continue. Of course, Hulu’s ad-supported plan means you’ll have to deal with occasional commercials, but it’s worth enjoying 3 months of content for just $6. That’ll be plenty of time to catch up on hit Hulu series like the Futurama revival in July and Only Murders in the Building, which begins its third season on August 8th. Keep in mind that Disney and Hulu are getting closer together, with Disney+ and Hulu merging into a single app later this year. There’s also a good chance Disney will end up buying Comcast’s stake in Hulu at some point in the future. However, at this point, Disney CEO Bob Iger is looking to keep the shows separate:
