President Biden I tripped and fell on stage At the commencement ceremony at the US Air Force Academy in Colorado on Thursday, he returned to his seat after nearly two hours of shaking hands with the graduates.
The chief was walking across the raised platform when he tripped over a black sandbag and fell to the ground. He was quickly helped to his feet and appeared to be unharmed. He sat behind the stage and left the stage when the ceremony concluded shortly after, and ran to his procession.
Ben LaBolt, White House Communications Director, he said on Twitter that Mr. Biden was “fine.” Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre echoed this statement, saying he was feeling “absolutely fine” and boarded Air Force One with a “big smile”.
Mr. Biden addressed alumni 921 earlier in the ceremony for about 30 minutes, praising the strength of the US military and touching on many foreign policy topics, including Ukraine, China and NATO.
