Plainview, TX (KTRK) – State authorities are searching for an inmate who reportedly escaped from prison Saturday night in northwest Texas.

The Texas Department of Criminal Justice said the fugitive, 22-year-old Trent Thompson, was last seen around 11:14 p.m. at the Formby unit in Plainview.
Thompson was convicted of three counts of aggravated robbery outside Taylor County and Coleman County and aggravated assault on a public servant outside Coleman County.
He is last seen wearing a white prison uniform. Thompson has a tattoo of an eighth of the musical note behind his right ear and a tattoo of a rose on his chest that peaks all the way to his neck. If you see Thompson, authorities are warning you to stay away from him and contact law enforcement.
