This week marks 56 years since Elvis Presley began filming his 1968 romantic comedy Speedway in 1967.
He starred opposite Nancy Sinatra, an amazing actress and Hollywood icon in her own right — but she was also the daughter of legendary singer Frank Sinatra.
Elvis and Nancy had a special relationship. Sparks flew between them as soon as they met, and they immediately began spending a lot of time together behind the scenes.
However, their liaison was not entirely sexual. Recently, Nancy revealed that they had a real relationship.

Elvis and Nancy enjoyed each other’s company for the remainder of the film’s shoot, but their relationship ultimately had to come to an end.
