Atlanta – Perhaps the best way to respond to theft is… indifference?
One would-be thief discovers that the crime is not as easy as he thought.
Video released by the Atlanta Police Showing the man with his hand in a bag, he enters the nail salon and starts yelling “Everybody get down! Get down. Give me all your money.”
Customers seem indifferent.
They stared at him, barely moving or changing their expressions.
At the end, one of the customers stands up and raises his hands up. When he confronts her directly, instead of handing over the money, she slowly backs away from the door.
In the end, the robber realizes that he will not get anywhere with this crowd. Surprised that trying to rob people armed only with sheer bravery doesn’t work, he takes a moment to look around, then turns and walks out the door.
Police say he passed a cell phone from the woman who stood up, but it was later found.
The suspect remains suspended.
