Houston, Texas (KTRK) – Houston police are looking for a suspect who was caught on camera snatching a woman’s bag from her car.
Police released a video of the June 4 incident at 5700 Hillcroft Block. According to the officers, the crime occurred at 2:40 in the afternoon. The woman said that as she was about to get out of her car, an unknown man opened the passenger door and forcibly grabbed her bag from her arm.
Surveillance video also shows moments before the kidnapping. The woman is seen adjusting her stance when the suspect’s car appears. The suspect gets behind the victim’s car, then exits and heads toward the passenger door.
The suspect then fled in a gray, four-door Hyundai hatchback with paper plates.
According to the police, the suspect was described as a black man between the ages of 30 and 40. It was about 6 feet tall. He described that he was wearing a gray pullover and black pants.
