The Comic-Con panel continues to feature Invincibles’ second season despite the Hollywood blowouts

The San Diego Comic-Con lineup is seeing some changes due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, with some panels being canceled and studios like Lionsgate pulling out of the convention altogether. This all stems from the fact that during the SAG and WAG strikes, the actors and writers will not be appearing at any promotional events, including convention panels. The good news for Comic-Con attendees is that there are still panels moving forward, including the two Invincible collections for Season 2. In a report from THR, it was stated that Prime Video will move forward with its Indomitable panels, which also includes a showing of new episodes.

Fans were concerned about the state of the panels, as Prime Video canceled the panel for The Wheel of Time. Thankfully, the indomitable panels will continue, though any planned appearances will likely be cancelled. The second of the two panels is a second season spin-off, though it is unknown if it will be just the second season premiere or several episodes.

Since the strike began, the aforementioned Wheel of Time panels, Freeze Jury Duty, and ABC’s Abbott Elementary have all been cancelled. Legendary was also planning to bring Dune: Part Two, but that plan was changed as well. To date, there are still panels planned for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, Star Trek Universe, Project K, The Walking Dead franchise, Twisted Metal, What We Do in the Shadows, and The Continental.

As for Invincible, it’s been about two years since the first season premiered, and fans have been eagerly awaiting the new episodes. That’s finally happening with the second season of Invincible, but the franchise is also looking to make a bigger impact across the board, including the gaming world. In an interview with ComicBook.com, Robert Kirkman talked about plans to increase Invincible’s presence in the games.

“I would say our video game plans are comprehensive,” Kirkman said. A little bit of all of the above, so, you know, we’ll see. Is this stuff possibly years away? [also] He looks like an idiot who has no idea what’s going on. If you watch this, in hindsight, any of these things could happen. There are so many great things on the horizon. I hope it all comes together. If it all comes together, Invincible fans will be very happy.”

Invincible recently teamed up with Fall Guys, and Skybound Games recently introduced a new invincible dice game from Mantic Games. “We are thrilled to be working with our friends on Skybound, once again on The Walking Dead and for the first time on Invincible,” Mantic Games CEO Ronnie Renton said in the original press release for Invincible: The Dice Game. “They’re designed to be great value, great fun, and perfect for taking your favorite worlds and adventures on the go.”
