The Reading and Leeds Festivals are a matter of weeks away, and the excitement is building to see the likes of The Killers, The 1975, and Billie Eilish hit stages around the country to celebrate another year of live music.
Attendees will also no doubt be gearing up to camp at either festival site for the five days across the August bank holiday weekend from Friday, August 25 to Monday, August 28.
However, they should be advised that new rules and regulations mean they may not be able to bring some daily essentials into the campsite and the music arena.
Included in this list of newly banned items is disposable vapes.
This includes the likes of Elfbar vapes and Lost Mary vapes.
The festivals stated that these single-use, disposable vapes are banned due to their “impact on the environment”.
They added that incorrect or improper disposal can cause issues at waste centres.
It is important to note, however, that refillable vapes are still permitted.
These disposable vapes are not the only new things to have been banned from the festival grounds this year.
They are joined by any bags in the music arena that are larger than an A4 piece of paper.
Campfires and barbecues are also banned from entering the campsite and music arena.

- Glass bottles, jars, and containers over 100ml – items under 100ml such as perfume bottles are permitted
- Illegal substances and legal highs, herbal highs, new psychoactive substances and unidentifiable substances – including Nitrous Oxide
- Nitrous Oxide and items associated with its consumption, including balloons, whipped cream dispensers, water crackers, CO2 dispensers
- Petrol burner

- Spray cans
- Unauthorised professional film or video equipment, radios of walkie talkies
