Taylor Swift drops vault tracks clues and fans think they’ve solved ‘explicit’ song name | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

Taylor Swift fans are eagerly awaiting the now-confirmed October 27 drop of her 1989 (Taylor’s Version) album, which will feature not only her re-recorded versions of the original album’s tracks but another batch of never-before-heard songs.

Now, adding to the fun as they wait, Swift has been dropping clues online about the titles of her new “From the Vault” tracks. She is expected to have five new songs on the record and has set up a scavenger hunt on Google to have her fans guess the titles of four of them.

In that puzzle, which appeared when googling “Taylor Swift,” a blue vault emerged and gave fans scrambled letters. When 33 million people managed to solve all 89 puzzles, the track names were revealed.

The four revealed song titles are Is It Over Now?, Now That We Don’t Talk, Say Don’t Go and Suburban Legends.

However, the fifth track title is still a mystery – but fans have been deciphering some of her Easter eggs and might have figured out not only the title, but who could be featured on the track as well.

The unnamed song is seemingly referenced in a post on Swift’s Instagram page, which features a video of a blue vault that has letters and punctuation coming out of it.

“You can tell me when the *search* is over… if the high was worth the pain,” Swift captioned the video.

While her caption clearly references her song Blank Space, which was from the original album, fans started trying to decipher what the letters from the video actually meant.

The letters that fly from the vault are “T,” “S,” “U” and “L,” in addition to quotation marks and an exclamation point.

Fans quickly took to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, to wager their guesses about the possible track title- with everyone in agreement that it is either “Lust!” or “Sl*t!”

The bulk of fans guessed that the track is called “Sl*t.”

“My google vault glitched!! I never in a million years would think Taylor Alison Swift would have a song titled ‘SL*T!’” one fan wrote.

“I do not apologise for the person I will become if Taylor Swift has a vault track named sl*t,” another added.

“If taylor alison swift releases that 1989 tv tracklist and i see ‘Sl*t!’ (Feat. Sabrina Carpenter) (Taylor’s Version) (From the Vault) no one in my life will ever hear the end of it,” a third added.

As for who the song is about, or the other tracks, fans likely won’t be able to figure that out until after lyrics are also released, as they would also likely contain Easter eggs.

However, with the original album heavily rumored to be largely about her brief relationship with Harry Styles, there is a chance the tracks could be a reference to him.

Thus far the only vault tracks where the subject of the song has been identified are Mr. Perfectly Fine from Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and When Emma Falls In Love from Speak Now (Taylor’s Version). The songs were about Joe Jonas and Emma Stone.
