Launch of the new gameplay trailer Digimon Survive

Bandai Namco is set to release Digimon Survival On July 29 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. With less than a month left, the promotional machine has gone into high gear, and a new trailer for the game has been released showing more of what players can expect to find in the video game when it’s released later this month.

While Bandai Namco previously described Digimon Survival As a “hybrid visual novel and tactical RPG”, this has never been more evident than in the new game’s presentation. The world map and conversations feel more like a visual novel while the actual combat has all the hallmarks of a tactical RPG with turn-based battles in a grid-based battlefield. The imminent release date indicates the end of a long road for Digimon Survival. It had previously been repeatedly delayed before finally settling on a July 29 release date. It’s hard to say if these delays resulted in a video game worthy of the Digimon franchise at this point, but there isn’t long to wait to find out.

“After getting lost on a school trip, Takuma Momozuka finds himself torn into a world populated by fierce enemies and new allies,” the official description of Digimon Survival From Bandai Namco reads. “Join Takuma and his friends as they fight their way back home. Create your own story in this exciting visual novel with turn-based combat.”

As mentioned above, Digimon Survival It’s due out for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on July 29. It is available for pre-order wherever these things are sold.
