Houston, Texas (KTRK) – The Houston City Council approved an ordinance designed to protect the 7,423 acres of natural habitat in Houston’s city parks on Wednesday. Houston’s 300-foot detectable noise ordinance goes into effect Tuesday under new rules forcing businesses to purchase sound permit!

Houston, Texas (KTRK) – Houston City Council members are holding a news conference about the new noise law that goes into effect Tuesday. The Noise Act was passed last May. Establishments using outdoor discoverable amplifier sound, located within 300 feet of the property, will need to purchase a commercial facility sound permit, which was created as a result of a vote on Wednesday. Houston politics: 7 bond propositions totaling $478M will be on November ballot; Midtown homeless development vote on hold!

Houston, Texas (KTRK) – The Houston city council approved adding seven bond proposals to the November ballot Wednesday morning, and everything from parks to public safety would be affected if passed.
