Activision brings Call of Duty: Warzone to mobile

Activision is building a mobile version of the free-to-play Battle Royale Call of Duty: Warzone, according to the company’s announcement in a blog post. They are currently recruiting talent for game development, including roles in production, engineering, design, art, and marketing.

The blog post notes: “We’re creating an all-new AAA mobile experience that will bring the exciting, smooth, and massive action of Call of Duty®: Warzone™ to gamers on the go.” “This large-scale, proprietary experience is originally created for mobile using the latest technology designed to entertain gamers around the world for many years to come.”

According to Sensor Tower, Call of Duty: Mobile, developed by Activision in partnership with Tencent’s Timi Studios, has exceeded $1.5 billion in lifetime global player spending across the App Store and Google Play Store since its launch in October 2019.
