The CW’s Arrowverse series of interconnected superhero shows have become known for a number of elements — including seeing their characters cross paths. Fans have been treated to a number of crossover events over the years, from large-scale superhero films to smaller inter-character blockbusters. The first (and main) storyline takes place midway through the events of Season 3, as Ryan Wilder/Batwoman (Javicia Leslie) attempts to battle Batman’s remaining evil prizes, all amid the backdrop of the role of Mary Hamilton (Nicole Kang). Poison Mary and Marquis Jet (Nick Creegan) take control of Ryan’s life as the new Joker. All the while, Ryan has to deal with the last trophy – Clayface, who sets off in Gotham City and becomes attached to a young boy named Tanner, who uses his powers to take revenge on bullies. Along the way, Ryan inadvertently obtains an ally in all aspects of her current conflict – Lena Luther (Katie McGrath), who arrives from National City for a meeting with Ryan, hoping to use Wayne’s company resources – in particular, the cold technology used by Mr. Frieza, which is stored in the Bat Cave – for the benefit of her foundation.
Along the way, Lena hooks up with Ryan and Luke Fox (Camros Johnson), and is even the first to tell Ryan about the events Crisis on Infinite Earths. She also gives some unique sage advice to Ryan, assuring her that she will be a wonderful batwoman, and that she will be able to come to terms with Mary.
This provides the largest crossover batuman And the super girl since thencalamity, as this live event has established Kate Kane (Ruby Rose) and Cara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) as the next big duo within the Arrowverse. “In season two, I’m hoping we’ll do production again, and it’s all normal, or in a normal amount at some point. Because you know how hard it is to schedule crossovers, and what about nonsense, I’m sure COVID won’t do us any favors in that regard,” batuman Model Caroline Dries explained to ComicBook.com in 2020. “But for me, the most important relationship is Batwoman and Supergirl. So I think if we can do any crossover, that’s what I’m going to try to focus on.”
