Netflix Asks Former CW Pilot ‘Gamer’ For Series With Miss Benny

Netflix has given a serial order to the drama “Glamorous,” which was previously set as a pilot on The CW.

The show received a 10-episode demand, with Miss Penny set as the title role. It tells the story of Marco Mejia (Miss Penny), a young non-conforming homosexual whose life seems to be stuck in place until he gets a job working for legendary makeup mogul Madolyn Addison. It’s Marco’s first chance to find out what he wants out of life, who he really is, and what it really means to be an outsider. The search is currently underway for the actress to play Addison.

Miss Penny is the only CW member ever attached to Netflix, and the creative team remains the same. Gordon Nardino serves as writer and executive producer, with Damon Wayans Jr. and Cameron Tarlow of Two Chicks Entertainment also executive production. CBS Studios will produce.

“Glamorous” was originally ordered to drive in The CW as part of the 2019 pilot season. It was seen as a strong contender for a serial pickup, but it underwent a retooling after the pilot’s initial cut came before the announcer eventually went through with the show. .
