AMC has released the trailer for its upcoming original series ‘Dark Winds’. Based on the “Leaphorn & Chee” books by Tony Hellerman, noir premieres June 12 on AMC and AMC+ with the first two episodes and a new episode every Sunday after that.
“Dark Wind” is set in the year 1971, in the secluded location of the Navajo Nation near Monument Valley, in Arizona. The series follows Tribal Police Lt. Joe Levorn (Zanne McClarennon) as he is overtaken by a series of seemingly unrelated crimes. But the closer he gets to the truth, the more wounds from his past visit him. His new deputy, Jim Chi (Kiwa Gordon), joins him on the journey, and he also has dozens of accounts to work out from his years in custody as a young man. The two men unite in the battle against evil and their own demons as they walk the path of salvation.
The series also stars Jessica Mattin (“The Burden of Truth”) as Bernadette Manuelito, Noah Emmerich (“The Americans”) as FBI Special Agent Wittoffer, Diana Allison as Joe’s wife Emma Levorn, and Ryan Wilson (“The Office”) in Crest Dan’s role. A religious car salesman.
“Dark Winds” was created and executive produced by Graham Roland, with Vince Calandra (“Sharp Objects”) as the show director. Chris Ayer is the show’s director and executive producer. Other executive producers include George RR Martin, Robert Redford, Tina Elmo, and Vince Girardes.

Fox announced Monday that Sheryl Hines, Rachel Harris, Jessica Nicholl and Zach Perlman will be guests at the season two premiere of “Fantasy Island.” A sequel to the original 1977 series, “Fantasy Island” stars Roselyn Sánchez as Elena Roarke, the titular island host who allows guests to realize their wildest dreams.
