AMC + Drops Trailer for ‘Dark Winds’ Thriller (TV News Roundup)

AMC has released the trailer for its upcoming original series ‘Dark Winds’. Based on the “Leaphorn & Chee” books by Tony Hellerman, noir premieres June 12 on AMC and AMC+ with the first two episodes and a new episode every Sunday after that.

“Dark Wind” is set in the year 1971, in the secluded location of the Navajo Nation near Monument Valley, in Arizona. The series follows Tribal Police Lt. Joe Levorn (Zanne McClarennon) as he is overtaken by a series of seemingly unrelated crimes. But the closer he gets to the truth, the more wounds from his past visit him. His new deputy, Jim Chi (Kiwa Gordon), joins him on the journey, and he also has dozens of accounts to work out from his years in custody as a young man.
